KELLY O'NEAL

Award-winning filmmaker, actress, fine artist, and illustrator.

Kelly O'Neal is a mixed media artist in the broadest sense of the word. In addition to creating works on paper and canvas using pen & ink, acrylics, watercolors, and collage, Kelly is also an award-winning actress & filmmaker, as well as arts educator.

Her work has been exhibited in galleries and commissioned for books, periodicals, and board games. Her bold and colorful designs also adorn a range of merchandise from funky clothing and shoes to housewares.

Much of KellyO's imagery, strongly influenced by her work as an actress, focuses on the human face, the breath and the emotion just beneath the surface. Using textures and bold colors, she often features images of women in relationship to nature and the divine.

This Once and Future Actress (eager to return to set once union Covid Protocols disappear), earned her BFA in Acting from Florida State University and has acted in film, TV, musical theatre, classical theatre, performance art, commercials, and stand-up comedy. She founded Mean Mama Dog Productions in 2008 and became an early web series creator with her character-driven comedy The Gilda Sue Rosenstern Computer Internet Show, which became a live stage performance. In 2017 she produced and directed the award-winning film Gilda Sue Rosenstern: The Motion Picture! now on Amazon. Kelly also collaborates with Droom Vox Theatre, editing and co-producing the ongoing film series based on the work of Robin Spriggs.
